About Emmanuel Legacy Institute, Inc.
Nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, the mission of Emmanuel Legacy Institute, Inc. is to deliver targeted support that empowers and uplifts our local community through providing resources and opportunities that will help them thrive and create lasting legacies.
Our value proposition lies in our ability to provide impactful services that not only address immediate needs but also foster long-term growth and a meaningful legacy within the local community. By focusing on sustainable development and lasting change, we strive to create opportunities that drive success and build a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
Our competitive advantages stem from our access to facilities that are located within our targeted communities and our robust network of local partnerships with businesses, government entities, and non-profit organizations. These collaborations—including with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the PM Group, the San Jose Police Department, various San Jose City Council districts, and others—are pivotal in supporting and advancing our current and planned programming.
These crucial relationships have been instrumental in launching our Legacy Preparatory Academy, an afterschool program currently funded by Santa Clara County. The Academy aims to boost students’ commitment to learning, enhance academic performance, reduce the achievement gap among students of color, and promote character development. The program offers enrichment classes in areas such as cooking, graphic design, art, dance, and leadership, alongside tutoring, academic skill-building, and homework assistance.
Additional current and upcoming programs offered include:
-
Scholarship Program: Financial assistance to underserved graduating high school students who plan to pursue higher education
-
Leadership Development: Seminars and other development opportunities designed to enhance leadership skills for community members as they address key issues affecting their daily lives
-
Affordable Housing Education: Learning opportunities to increase knowledge and awareness about affordable housing options in Silicon Valley
-
Mental Health Resources: In partnership with local organizations, provide resources and support for mental health
